Tuckenhay Mill’s outstanding leisure facilities including three swimming pools indoor and out, its surrounding amenities and stunning location combine to make this the perfect spot for anyone to enjoy a holiday in South Devon during any season of the year.
Tuckenhay Mill is renowned for its award winning indoor pools. With a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi in both pools you can either relax or have an energetic swim. You can then cool off with a cold shower fed from the underground spring.
The Roman Pool
This roman style pool is 32ft long and 4ft 6in deep. It is perfect for children of all ages as there is a shallow area reached by steps and further steps that take you into the deeper area. It is open daily from 8.30am to 7.30pm. Children must be supervised at all times.
The Waterfall Pool
This award winning pool is over 40ft long and 4ft 6in deep. It is sculptured in a curved shaped and bounded in part by a natural grotto rock face of tumbling water. It incorporates the ultimate in water movement technology: floor and wall massage jets, water volcanos, water cannons and swim jets. There are two Jacuzzis one of them being actually in the pool. It is open daily from 9am to 6.30pm. Children must be aged ten and above and be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Outdoor Pool
This heated outdoor pool is 60ft long and 3ft – 6ft 6in deep with a sunbathing terrace, hot tub, sauna and shower. (open May to end of September)
Outdoor Tennis Court
Please bring your own racquets, balls and tennis shoes, not trainers.
Gymnasium
A well equipped Gymnasium with Polaris and Aerodyne machines.
Badminton
Indoor and outdoor badminton courts. Please bring your own racquets and shuttlecocks and please wear trainers.
Snooker
There is a snooker room with a full sized period table (experienced players only) with additional small snooker and pool tables. There is a second snooker room with a ¾ sized snooker table (experience players only). There is also a small pool table situated in the sports hall along with table tennis and a mini-football table.
Other Facilities
We also have short-mat bowls, croquet, 15 acres of grounds with children’s play area’s both indoor and out. Barbecue and picnic areas. Resident goats, rabbits and hens (eggs are available) and a games field for football (short pitch).
